Hi guys! You may agree backpacking can be one of the worst things to do before traveling somewhere. That’s why I am writing about it…and because in just 2 weeks I’ll be flying to Asia!! So it’s the perfect excuse to talk about it.
Backpacking time has arrived!
First of all, it’s not a good idea starting putting stuff in the luggage or backpack if you haven’t look for information about the place you are going. By information, I mean not just the weather but illness or infections, outdoor activities (you might need special clothes) or culture (cover parts of the body). It’s also a highlight in case you have a host family or place to volunteer to think about a little gift.
Once you are sure about where are you really going and what are you going to do there, then you will be aware what thinks you may need and leave behind the useless stuff.
Moreover, could be a good idea to do a list. What I do, for example, is an “especial list”. I group similar concepts together into these groups:
- Documents.
- Wallet.
- Airplane (convenience and weight).
- Clothes: basics, accessories, just in case (max. 2 clothes).
- Health and first-aid kid.
- Hygiene.
- Work tools, gadgets (if you have to work during the trip).
There are also another groups depending on the aims and hobbies of each one such as photography, trekking, climbing or writing. In this post are just the basic ones.
So, when you have created all the “groups” it’s easier to remember what you really need in the trip.
Don’t forget lo leave some room for presents you may buy!
Please, if you have any idea or you want to add more information please feel free to comment or get in touch with me.
For those who are working also on a new adventure soon and are as excited as me or even more…good luck and safe travels!!
